Malin McWalters, Technical Assistant

Malin grew up in central Maine and is a graduate of Bard College’s Photography Program, receiving her BA in 2012. Her Senior Project, entitled “Spillways and Sideways”, is a visual account of the aftermath of Hurricane Irene and its impact on the small towns of the Catskills made with large format color negatives in a slow documentary style.

After graduating from Bard, Malin worked in arts administration at the nearby Center for Photography at Woodstock. In 2013, she was among a group of photographers awarded a commission from Delta Airlines with the purpose of promoting and highlighting photography departments in the state of New York, and her work is still on view at the Delta Sky Club at JFK airport.

In addition to her work at Bard, Malin is currently assisting Tanya Marcuse in creating and archiving her large-scale color photographs.
